PRODUCT DSCRIPTION:
The 250µm fibers are placed within a loose tube composed of high modulus plastic.
The tubes contain a water-resistant filling compound.
A steel wire, often coated with polyethylene (PE) for high-fiber-count cables, is positioned at the core’s center to serve as a metallic strength member.
Tubes and fillers are stranded around the strength member to form a compact, circular cable core.
An aluminum polyethylene laminate (APL) is wrapped around the cable core, which is filled with a compound to prevent water ingress.
Next, the cable core is covered with a thin polyethylene inner sheath.
After applying the PSP longitudinally over the inner sheath, the cable is finished with a PE outer sheath.
